War... Hritik Vs Tiger

In one of the promotional events for the movie ‘War’, Hritik Roshan said that he couldn’t think of anyone else but Tiger Shroff for the role played by the latter. And I agree 100%. Amongst today’s breed of actors if anyone could stand up to the physique, dance moves and action of Hritik, it is no one other than Tiger. Incidentally this was the first movie I saw of Tiger Shroff and no doubt he has arrived, cementing his position as next-in-line to become a ‘star’. He got the better role in which he could showcase a wide acting spectrum. Hritik plays Hritik and should continue to do so instead of playing a destitute Bihari (Super 30) or a blind (Kaabil). There is no one else in the movie apart from the two but then do you really need anyone else?

The real hero of the movie is Aditya Chopra who has upped the ante of the quality of Bollywood films which had languished far behind Hollywood and even South Indian ones lately (Baahubali). The production values were awesome with breath-taking locations, realistic action sequences and special effects. Director Sidharth Anand does his bit and supported wholesomely by amazing camera work (especially the aerial shots) and thumping background score. Lots of twists & turns, some predictable and some not.

A definite big screen watch.

  1. A blatant copy of a beloved Hollywood movie series. When will the rip offs stop?
